Responsible for Non-Conformity Report management and Supplier performance for a precise scope of suppliers/projects, after the product validation, the First Article Inspection (FAI) + 3 deliveries. Perform inspections for low-critical parts Manage Quality performance of assigned Suppliers Manage Incoming Inspection activities when appointed SQ inspection leader for the given site ORGANISATION Organization structure (job belongs to ) Site location/Quality/Supplier Quality Reports directly to Supplier Quality Manager Site (QC-SQ-01) Other reporting to: N/A Direct reports: N/A Network Links Internal Procurement, Supplier Quality Industrial organization, Industrial Quality Supply chain External Suppliers Sub-contractors MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Depending on the size of the site and the teams to be managed, roles and responsibilities described below can be assigned to one person or split over several SQ Serial engineers. There must be one single person in charge of leading incoming inspection (one single interface towards Industrial), which can have also the SQ Serial Performance management role. SQ Serial Performance management Non- Conformities Management: Responsible for Non-Conformity day-to day management, insuring reactivity to inform supplier of Non-Conformity Report (NCR), to replace defective parts and to implement securization. Animate Non-Conformities Report treatment by setting-up relevant actions plan to reach Non-Conformity Report (NCR) target. Invoice the Cost Of Non-Quality (CONQ S1) to the suppliers. Ensure management of Supplier s waiver requests for assigned scope and Suppliers Containment actions: Organize the retrofit to be performed by the supplier. Decide quality wall if necessary. Solving issues Continuous Improvement: Secure in a timely manner strong and complete supplier containment actions plan to secure the Manufacturing line Challenge our suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan, challenge reactivity. Check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan of the Supplier, ask for evidences, challenge them and perform supplier s visit. Ensure control plan sustainability (regular follow-up on main suppliers). Set up and manage Supplier improvement roadmap for non-performing Suppliers according to Supplier Quality escalation process (Green / Yellow / Red status) Organize reviews with suppliers and visit suppliers premises as necessary. Inspection of low-critical parts: Ensure performance of inspection for low critical parts (parts non-included Supplier Part List) Check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan of the supplier (ask for evidences, challenge them, and perform supplier s visit do supplier visit). Ensure control plan sustainability (regular follow-up on main suppliers). For trusted suppliers: to take part of the Return Of experience (REX) analysis. Top Issues Dashboard: Prepare and monitor supplier Quality review at unit level to tackle the Top issues. Incoming inspection leader The Incoming inspector Leader ensures the compliance of purchased products and parts delivered to the ALSTOM facilities. He / She manages the team of Incoming Inspectors to ensure consistent, accurate and on-time completion of incoming inspection activities. Accountabilities Authorities: Manage day-to-day Incoming Inspection Activities: Collaborate with SPQD, SQ Serial Engineers and Incoming Inspectors to ensure Control Plans are defined and registered in the ERP system Ensure appropriate control keys (and rules associated) are implemented in the ERP system, with clear and documented sampling rules, dynamically defined and updated. Ensure inspection instructions/ checklists are defined and available for Incoming Inspectors Establish and manage the process for maintaining and storing records at Incoming Inspection Ensure Incoming Inspectors comply with procedures for inspection, tool calibration, storage of records, NCR characterization and ERP transactions. Initiate outside special process inspections or outside lab testing when required Ensure control plans are modified when NCRs are detected at incoming and on the production line Inform SQ Serial and Supply Chain on defects detected at Incoming (Non-conformities opened) and impact on part availability Schedule daily meetings to share daily priorities and manage daily workload of Incoming Inspectors Maintain and publish KPIs and identify opportunities for performance improvement Incoming Inspection team competencies management through skills matrix and scheduling trainings when required Performance measurements: Complete inspections within allocated target lead time and ensure priority inspections are completed on time Accuracy and correct defect characterization in Non-conformities and related ERP tasks (blocking stock, tasking, etc.) Ensure set up and implementation of continuous performance improvement actions with a regular analysis of downward trend in quantity of NCRs detected after incoming inspection during the production cycle (non-functional issues only) Manage Incoming Inspection activities when appointed SQ Referent for the given site LOCATION MOBILITY: Site and travel to suppliers site for SQ Serial Engineer / Professional MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.) Fluent in English Desirable: Master s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent Experience Mandatory: 1 to 3 years experience in Quality, Production Knowledge in a technical field Desirable: Experience managing supplier relationships is a plus Experience using SAP or similar computer applications Competencies Skills See related Quality Continuous Competencies Matrix 8D Methodology Collaborative Persuasive and resilient Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow s mobility.
