In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Splunk environment while providing operational support. Your deep understanding of Splunk architecture, monitoring, troubleshooting, and advanced analytics will be essential as you work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform runs smoothly and provides critical insights for monitoring, security, and IT operations. You must possess mandatory skills in Splunk and Linux knowledge. Additionally, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are required, along with knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms and integrations with Splunk would be advantageous. Your key responsibilities will include managing Splunk environments, installing, configuring, and maintaining Splunk Enterprise, as well as optimizing the environment for performance, scalability, and data integrity. You will be responsible for ensuring proper indexing and data retention policies are in place. Operational support is a crucial aspect of this role, where you will provide day-to-day support for Splunk, monitor system health and performance, and address incidents or issues promptly. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Splunk infrastructure, data ingestion, and search performance will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of search and reporting, you will create and optimize searches, dashboards, and alerts for end-users, develop and maintain custom Splunk apps or knowledge objects to meet business needs, and provide analytics and reporting support to assist teams with data-driven insights. You will also be responsible for planning and executing Splunk upgrades and patches in a controlled manner, ensuring minimal downtime during maintenance and upgrade activities.
