Speech Therapist

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
• Facilitate access to government schemes, disability certificates, and assistive aids through mobile outreach services.

• Reporting To: Project Coordinator
• Working Days & Timings: Monday Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturdays off), 09:00 AM 05:00 PM, 8 hours/day
• Holidays: As per THF Holiday List

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Intervention

• Conduct speech and hearing assessments for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
• Perform hearing tests and provide appropriate interventions.
• Conduct speech therapy sessions tailored to individual needs.
• Recommend and distribute hearing aids as required.

Community Outreach & Follow-up

• Conduct home visits and follow-up services for patients.
• Organize and conduct screening camps for early identification and intervention.
• Support families and caregivers with guidance for home-based therapy activities.

Training & Documentation

• Organize and conduct training programs for staff, caregivers, and community members.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and interventions.
• Document progress and prepare reports for the project coordinator.

Other Responsibilities

• Undertake any other activities assigned by the Project Coordinator to support project implementation.

Educational Qualifications

• BASLP (Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology) or equivalent.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with children with developmental disabilities.
• RCI registration as a professional Speech Therapist.
• Experience in community-based rehabilitation and disability projects is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with multicultural teams.
• Empathetic, compassionate, and sensitive towards the needs of children.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
