Specialist Software Engineer

This vital role demands deep technical expertise and leadership in designing and developing scalable web applications and backend services. You will lead the design of UI frameworks, guide architectural decisions, and work hands-on with the development team to accelerate delivery of enterprise-grade MDM solutions.

This is a ground-level technical role with strategic impact, requiring deep experience in full stack development, cloud-native technologies, and data engineering practices.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable front-end architectures using ReactJS, Redux Toolkit, and Axios.
• Define and enforce UI/UX standards and reusable component libraries across MDM applications.
• Architect and develop robust backend services using Python, Django REST Framework, and FastAPI.
• Guide database design and optimization using MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Implement and maintain data pipelines using PySpark for transformation and enrichment.
• Deploy and manage applications using NGINX and Gunicorn, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Drive test automation using Jest and other frameworks to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, data stewards, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead architectural reviews and contribute to enterprise-level design decisions.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Accelerate development cycles through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Ensure secure and compliant development practices aligned with enterprise standards.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree / Master's degree / Bachelor's degree and 8 to 13 years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in ReactJS, Redux Toolkit, Axios, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong backend development experience with Python, Django REST Framework, and FastAPI
• Expertise in MongoDB and PostgreSQL for data modeling and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with PySpark for distributed data processing
• Experience deploying applications using NGINX and Gunicorn
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and version control systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization
• Demonstrable experience in architecting scalable full-stack solutions
• Strong testing practices using Jest or similar frameworks

• Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio)
• Exposure to data quality frameworks and rule engines
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory considerations in master data
• Prior experience in Pharma/Life Sciences domain
