Specialist I - ML Engineering

As a Specialist I in ML Engineering at UST, you will be responsible for designing and implementing AI/ML solutions using advanced frameworks and technologies to ensure scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. Your role will involve developing and optimizing various AI models tailored to specific use cases, such as LangChain, CrewAI, GenAI, and NLP models. Additionally, you will build and deploy production-ready systems like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems, chatbots, and other AI-driven applications using OpenAI APIs, Ollama, Llama, and llamaparse. You will leverage Azure and GCP services, including Lambda functions in Python, to deliver high-performing AI solutions. Your responsibilities will also include applying advanced prompt engineering techniques, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, working with GitHub for version control, and using Docker effectively for containerization and deployments in cloud environments. Furthermore, you will ensure that solutions adhere to best practices in system design, addressing trade-offs, security, performance, and efficiency, and implement responsible AI practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate AI insights into impactful solutions and effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role. Qualifications for this position include 4+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, expertise in AWS services, demonstrated experience with RAG systems and chatbot development, deep understanding of LangChain components and advanced NLP techniques, strong knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with best practices in system design, and proven ability to write high-quality production code and work in collaborative environments.
