Specialist - GBS Master Data Management

As a Specialist - GBS Master Data Management at Flex, your role is crucial in driving sourcing/pricing strategies in materials quotations, presenting materials value-add to customers or suppliers, and managing component cost/price on a local, regional, and global basis. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing pricing and costing strategies, coordinating sourcing strategies with Supply Management and Customers, and increasing Vendor Managed Inventory, Reduced Guide-Time, and Electronic Data Interface penetration. Specialized job controls may be required for certain positions, which could involve managing regional supplier contract negotiations, developing and maintaining supplier relationships, measuring and reporting Purchase Price Variance, and participating in global and regional commodity teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing material cost reviews, driving initiatives to improve gross material margin, and identifying opportunities to increase turnkey business. To excel in this role, you are expected to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain design/management. An understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends, and technologies is essential. A background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process will be beneficial.
