Lab Developer with instructional design experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the

  design and development of interactive virtual labs

  for Majesco's software solutions and technical toolkits, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and audience needs.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Product Owners, and Developers to design

  real-world, hands-on experiences

  for learners in cloud-based environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, VMware).
• Design and develop

  microlearning modules, show-me simulations, and scored labs

  using Articulate Rise 360, Storyline, and Skillable.

• Develop technical scripts (PowerShell/SQL)

  to deploy, configure, and score lab environments when required.
• Translate complex technical workflows into

  clear, learner-centric instructions

  and assessments.
• Apply immersive, problem-based learning strategies to increase engagement and knowledge retention.
• Manage the end-to-end instructional design process (ADDIE), including needs analysis, storyboarding, content development, testing, implementation, and evaluation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain virtual labs by

  identifying UI changes, workflow errors, or scripting issues

  and implementing updates as needed.
• Partner with the LMS team to integrate lab-based courses into Majesco's learning platforms.
• Stay current on

  emerging technologies, virtual lab platforms (Skillable or similar), and SaaS environments

  to ensure training programs reflect modern practices.

Typical Skills and Experiences

Education:

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of instructional design experience creating

  self-paced eLearning and technical training

  .
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing

  virtual labs end-to-end

  (Skillable experience strongly preferred).
• Proficiency with Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline for interactive eLearning development.
• Strong scripting skills with

  PowerShell and/or SQL

  to automate and manage virtual lab environments.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker, Hyper-V).

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with SaaS solutions and Agile environments.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for enhanced learning solution customization.
• Insurance industry knowledge (P&C, L&A, or group products).
• Professional certifications such as CPLP, CTT+, or Skillable certifications in Lab Development.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring high-quality deliverables. A passion for innovation in training and a proactive approach to staying current with emerging technologies and learning methodologies are critical for success in this position.

What Majesco Offers:

Majesco is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $87,000 to $110,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Majesco considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
