Job Description

As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the contracting process by reviewing, negotiating, and interpreting contracts to ensure business needs are met while minimizing risks. Your attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders will be essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, negotiate, and interpret various types of contracts such as confidentiality agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, and amendments. - Identify issues and risks in standard business and legal terms, and propose solutions to address them. - Develop checklists to ensure all contract requirements are met by the company. - Maintain contract forms, templates, standard clauses, checklists, guidelines, and policies. - Coordinate information and responses from business stakeholders and other team members for contract review and negotiation. - Communicate regularly with management and staff to provide necessary information and documentation related to contracts. - Update and manage the contracts database to track contract status, milestones, and upcoming renewals or expirations. - Generate reports and statistics to support contract record maintenance and planning. - Provide training and guidance to business partners on contract review, approval processes, and risk management. - Assist in resolving contract disputes and claims, as needed. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in contract negotiation. - Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills. - Effective time management and self-motivation. - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. This role as a Contracts Specialist offers you the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders to ensure contracts are reviewed and entered into efficiently.
