Tamahar Trust, established in 2009 by Mrs Vaishali Pai, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to assisting children with developmental delays due to brain damage, such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, rare diseases, and genetic disorders. Through holistic developmental interventions, Tamahar provides an extensive range of services, including core intervention, functional education, pre-vocational training, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, music therapy, yoga, arts, dance, and sports. The organisation also offers family support services such as mental health services and skill development for parents. Tamahar Trust welcomes families from all socio-economic backgrounds and is committed to the prevention and alleviation of developmental disabilities, enabling children and their families to lead happy, healthy, and dignified lives.

Special Educator

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field

• RCI certification (mandatory)

• Experience in teaching children with developmental or intellectual disabilities
• Strong understanding of IEPs, behaviour management, and adaptive teaching methods
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
