Title: Special Educator

Location: Balrampur, India

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Educator with experience in working with children with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or other developmental needs. The ideal candidate should be committed to inclusive education, skilled in developing individualized learning plans, and able to collaborate effectively with parents, therapists, and the wider team to support holistic child development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Individualized Education & Learning Support:

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s unique needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods, tools, and materials to support diverse learning abilities.
  • Facilitate academic, behavioral, and functional skill development in children with special needs.

2. Basic Occupational Therapy Support:

  • Conduct basic occupational therapy–related activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and daily living abilities.
  • Coordinate with occupational therapists to ensure continuity of therapeutic interventions.

3. Parent Counselling & Engagement:

  • Provide parents with guidance and counselling to help them support their child’s development at home.
  • Conduct regular parent meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and future learning plans.

4. Behavioral & Communication Support:

  • Encourage positive behavior, communication skills, and independence in children.
  • Use structured teaching approaches and behavior management strategies as needed.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Work in coordination with therapists, teachers, caregivers, and administrative staff to provide integrated support.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute insights for child development planning.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Monitor, document, and update student progress regularly.
  • Maintain accurate records of IEPs, assessments, and classroom interventions.
  • Share progress reports with the team and families as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Special Education (preferably in Autism or Learning Disability).
  • Certification: RCI Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or Learning Disabilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of occupational therapy exercises and parent counselling techniques (preferred).
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, patience, and ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time engagement at designated centres or field locations.
  • Travel may be required based on program needs.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
