Position: South Indian Cook

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of South Indian Cuisine:
• Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, and a variety of chutneys.
• Cook specialty dishes from different South Indian states (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana).
• Food Quality and Hygiene:
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols as per local health regulations.
• Menu Development:
• Assist in planning and developing traditional and fusion South Indian menus.
• Introduce seasonal and innovative dishes to attract customers.
• Inventory Management:
• Manage inventory for South Indian ingredients such as rice, lentils, spices, and condiments.
• Ensure timely procurement and minimize wastage.
• Cooking Equipment:
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment like dosa tawa, idli steamers, and grinders.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff.
• Train junior cooks in South Indian cooking techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a South Indian cook (minimum 2-3 years).
• In-depth knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
