Job Description

Food on Fire is looking for a skilled South Indian Chef with hands-on experience in Telangana regional cooking , especially in chicken, mutton, fish, prawns, and vegetarian curries . The chef must be fluent in Telugu and have worked in a barbecue or buffet-style restaurant . Food and accommodation provided service amount also provided. Key Responsibilities: Prepare traditional Telangana dishes: Non-Veg: Kodi Pulusu, Gongura Mutton, Royyala Iguru, Natu Kodi Fry, Fish Pulusu Veg: Gutti Vankaya, Tomato Pappu, Sorakaya Curry, Beerakaya Pachadi, Dal varieties Coordinate with BBQ, tandoor, and buffet teams to manage full-course meals. Ensure high standards in taste, presentation, and hygiene. Maintain FSSAI compliance for food safety, storage, and labeling. Supervise kitchen staff and help train assistants on Telangana methods. Keep records of food stock, supplier bills, and cleaning schedules. Handle daily kitchen operations including morning prep and dinner service. Requirements: 3+ years experience cooking Telangana-style food in hotels or BBQ restaurants. Ability to cook for large buffet service with consistency. Telugu speaking is plus Strong understanding of meat cuts, marination, curry base prep, and spice levels. Ability to manage kitchen timing, food quality, and staff discipline. Cost and waste control awareness.
