Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced South Indian cook/chef to join our household. The chef is assigned to work at VIP Villa. The ideal candidate should be skilled in preparing a wide range of authentic South Indian dishes and be willing to stay with our family. Free accommodation for the cook and their immediate family will be provided. This position is for home cooking; preferred candidates are from Coimbatore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily meals featuring traditional South Indian cuisine (Idli, Dosa, Sambar, Rasam, Vatha Kuzhambu, Poriyal, Kootu, etc.).
• Plan and discuss weekly menus based on the family’s preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and cooking areas.
• Shop for fresh groceries and manage kitchen inventory if needed.
• Cook for regular meals and occasional family gatherings or events.
• Adjust recipes based on dietary needs or restrictions.
• Help with kitchen clean-up and basic meal prep as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in South Indian cooking (home or professional setting).
• Ability to cook vegetarian and non-vegetarian South Indian dishes.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Friendly and respectful attitude with a willingness to work in a family environment.
• Preferred: Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety.
