Sourcing Material Manager

Role Overview: You will be responsible for sourcing project-based machinery and ancillary items from India and international markets. Your role will involve identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and ethical standards. As a strong negotiator, you will be expected to conduct cost analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure timely procurement of goods and services. Additionally, you will need to collaborate with outsourced vendors, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance with specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Execute sourcing strategies for industrial goods and services - Travel to visit and evaluate Indian and international suppliers - Identify new sources and vendors for procurement - Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing - Coordinate with outsourced vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality - Collaborate with the senior sourcing manager for reporting and decision-making Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred - Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial purchasing - Strong commercial sense and negotiation skills - Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment - Adaptable, patient, and detail-oriented Company Details: The company is currently undertaking a large import-based capital investment project, offering an exciting opportunity for the sourcing manager to lead procurement activities.
