Context/Scope:

Conducting & Maintaining Forward & Reverse Auctions in DIGIBUY Application.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, evaluate, and respond to vendor inquiries and proposals. Ensure that auction requests meet category-specific requirements and terms and conditions (T&Cs)

Manage the Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes within the application.

Organize and oversee both forward (buyers invite suppliers to bid) and reverse (sellers compete for business) auctions on the DIGIBUY platform.

Collaborate with category buyers to understand their procurement needs.

Purpose of Position

Develop standardized auction templates tailored to specific procurement categories or needs. Ensure that the templates are user-friendly and compliant with organizational standards.

Keep a record of all auctions conducted and their outcomes.

Manage and update product catalogs within the Ariba procurement system. Ensure that catalogs are up-to-date and accurate for purchasing purposes.

The role will need to operate within our SOA and be responsible for Daily, Monthly and Annual Auctions/catalogues conducted as per the set standards.

Track and measure cost savings achieved through auctions and procurement activities.

Implement strategies to maximize cost reduction and value creation.

From this role, it is expected to create comprehensive reports summarizing the results and key insights from each auction

Provide training and guidance to suppliers on how to participate in auctions effectively. Assist suppliers in registering on the DIGIBUY platform. Manage and update product catalogs within the Ariba procurement system. Ensure that catalogs are up-to-date and accurate for purchasing purposes. Monitor bidding activity in real-time to identify potential issues or irregularities. Analyze bid data and supplier performance to make informed decisions during the auction.

Leadership Responsibilities
