JOB Description : Senior Engineer Sourcing & Costing- BIW (Sheet Metal) _Automotive

Education: B.E Mechanical or Production Engineering

6-8 years in Automotive OEM or Tier

Work Location : Aurangabad ( Maharashtra)

• Purchase materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery target

• Purchase and development of Automotive components in the category of sheet metal stamping, fabrication and welding assemblies • Development experience for manufacturing process like Stamping, Bending, forming, laser cutting, CNC bending, all types of welding ( Manual and Robotic) and fasteners

• BIW, Sheet metal brackets, two- wheeler frames, Tube assemblies, exhaust systems

• Experience in development of Four wheeler and two wheeler Automotive components.

• Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods

• Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities

• Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits, including ISO 9001 and other industry standards

• Experience in APQP, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) approval or product warrant

Skill

Proven purchasing experience, preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Tooling, Raw Material and manufacturing Process Knowledge. Zero based costing. In depth Knowledge of manufacturing process like stamping, laser/ CNC, Welding, Fabrication and sheet metal surface treatments Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem solving abilities Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines Commercially and financially aware Keen attention to detail and accuracy
