The Somali Translator and Editor will be responsible for translating written content from English to Somali and ensuring the translated content is culturally appropriate and contextually accurate. The role involves editing translated content, reviewing for grammatical and typographic errors, and ensuring consistency with translation standards. The position also includes researching terminology and usage within the Somali-speaking community and collaborating with other team members to provide quality content. Qualifications Proficiency in Somali and English languages Experience in translation and editing Knowledge of cultural and contextual nuances in Somali Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and remotely Experience with CAT tools and other translation software is a plus Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field Show more Show less
