Job Description

As a Project Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in driving project work packages in collaboration with the Technical Lead Engineer and Procurement Officer. Your responsibilities will include managing subcontractor and supplier packages from delivery to handover, ensuring the availability of technical and quality information for factory tests, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying risks and opportunities. You will be involved in preparing progress reports, communicating procurement details for Quality Assurance Plans, and supporting customer meetings by addressing technical queries and managing design risks. Your expertise in Transmission & Distribution standards, substation systems, and strong communication and problem-solving skills will be essential for success in this role. You will support and drive assigned project/work packages, ensuring effective communication and coordination with stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to identify and raise potential risks, variations, and opportunities. Your role will also involve assisting in the preparation of Monthly Progress Reports, communicating procurement information, and supporting customer-facing meetings by addressing discussions and technical queries related to assigned work packages. The ideal candidate for this position should have 8-10 years of Project Engineering experience in the Transmission & Distribution Industry. A strong understanding of Transmission & Distribution standards and technologies, as well as knowledge of Substation Primary and Secondary Systems, is essential. Familiarity with current Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations, understanding of Risk Management processes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management are key requirements for this role.
