Overall purpose of the role: As a Solution architect, you will be responsible for designing the ABAP cloud-ready transformation strategies and driving ABAP application modernization by following cloud-ready extensibility, and clean core methodologies. New initiatives/opportunities to bring automation by leveraging the smartShift code transformation platform. Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be expected to be an active part of SAP ABAP clean core transformation projects. Collaborate closely with the customer / Partner teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design, and develop the ABAP cloud-ready applications, extensions, service, and integration scenarios. Architect and design clean core SAP landscapes with a focus on minimizing custom code and adopting cloud-ready approaches. Drive the implementation of SAP S/4HANA solutions using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), BTP (Business Technology Platform) services, and other SAP cloud technologies. Ensure the adoption of side-by-side extensibility, in-app extensibility, and other clean core principles within customer solutions. Provide strategic guidance on transitioning legacy ABAP code to cloud-ready and future-proof solutions. Lead workshops and design sessions with internal teams and clients to promote best practices for clean core architectures. Guide teams in using SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP), SAP Business Application Studio, and other modern development environments. Ensure high-quality technical solutions through code reviews, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP guidelines and clean core principles. Stay up to date with the latest trends in SAP technologies and provide insights on emerging tools, platforms, and methodologies. Engage with other internal teams such as Product, Engineering, and others and contribute to the automation from ABAP cloud readiness perspective. Drive the clean core strategy discussions and implementation of best practices in ABAP Cloud developments. Qualifications & Skills: Education Bachelor/Postgraduate in Engineering IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent Behavioural Competencies Demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong understanding of Technical concepts and ability to influence the customers/ partners. Skill set - 8 to 10 years of experience in ABAP development. - Proficiency in ABAP cloud programming Model and Clean core strategy. - Strong understanding and Implementation experience of ABAP CDS, Restful ABAP Programming Model. - Through understanding of Key user and Developer extensibility scenarios with practical implementation experience. - Proficiency in ABAP development tools, such as ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Eclipse, and SAP Business Application Studio. - Knowledge of FIORI and UI5 Developments If you are passionate about building the technology world, be smart and join us at smartShift! smartShift is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
