Solution Architect I - Enterprise Solutions

Role Overview: As a Senior Cloud Architect at UST, you will play a crucial role in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions in a modern cloud environment, primarily AWS. Your responsibilities will include leading the end-to-end architecture of complex cloud-native systems, designing and implementing cloud solutions, developing microservices, ensuring security and compliance, automating infrastructure, optimizing data and performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to align architecture with business goals. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end architecture of complex cloud-native systems, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience. - Design and implement cloud solutions on AWS (preferred) or GCP, leveraging best practices in infrastructure as code and CI/CD. - Design and develop RESTful and event-driven microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Kafka. - Use Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing microservices at scale. - Implement secure systems using OAuth2, JWT, IAM, and ensure alignment with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance standards. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD, and automate infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation. - Architect robust data models using PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, DynamoDB). Optimize application and database performance. - Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevSecOps teams to align architecture with business and technical goals. - Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks is a plus. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Jakarta EE. - Proven track record of designing and implementing solutions on AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure. - Deep understanding of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers in distributed architectures. - Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm. - Knowledge of security frameworks including OAuth2, SAML, Zero Trust Architecture. - Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis. - Ability to drive technical decisions, mentor developers, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
