Solution Architect - Finance & Accounting

Position: Solutions Architect, Finance & Accounting (F&A)

Overview:

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to join our corporate team. In this role, you will be a key player in designing and implementing technology solutions that optimize our financial processes, improve data integrity, and support strategic business goals. You'll work closely with finance and accounting professionals, IT teams, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring our technology landscape is robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices

Key Responsibilities:

You will develop solutions for Finance & Accounting (F&A) services based on client requirements

• Solution Design & Strategy:

  Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap for all F&A-related systems, including ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle), financial planning tools, reporting systems, and automation platforms.

Understand and translate buyer requirements into a standard F&A solution offering deal approach, solution plan, proposal and cost estimate leveraging standard process methods and deliverables

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Collaborate with other architects from the organization, including delivery, mobilization, technology etc., to plan and architect the overall delivery architecture and capabilities Partner with finance and business leaders to understand their challenges and strategic objectives. Translate these needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.

• Technology Evaluation:

  Research and evaluate new technologies, software, and vendor solutions to determine their suitability for our F&A architecture. Present well-reasoned recommendations to leadership.

• Implementation & Integration:

  Lead the design and integration of new financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation across different platforms.

• Governance & Standards:

  Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies for F&A technology to ensure consistency, security, and compliance.

• Mentorship & Support:

  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and support teams. Act as a subject matter expert for all F&A-related technology issues.

• Risk Management:

  Identify and mitigate technical risks related to system design, data security, and business continuity

• Interact with the delivery organization:

  Ensure effective transition, shape services, define solution assumptions and mitigate solution risks, determine appropriate service delivery locations and related cost to deliver. Ensure that delivery architecture is implemented according to policies/standards and solution is benchmarked both internally and externally

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, or a related field

• Experience:

• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a solutions architecture or a similar role.
• Deep expertise in finance and accounting processes, including procure-to-pay (P2P), order-to-cash (O2C), record-to-report (R2R), and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) or any other financial software
• Proven experience with data modelling, database design, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with cloud-based financial solutions (e.g., Anaplan, Workday) and robotic process automation (RPA) is a plus

• Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Certifications such as TOGAF or a relevant cloud solutions architect certification are highly desirable
