Solidcam programmer

As an experienced CAM Programmer with expertise in SolidCAM, you will be joining our toolroom team to contribute to the smooth functioning of CNC programming, machining operations, and preventive maintenance. Your role will involve collaborating effectively with CNC milling operators and other toolroom machine operators to ensure precision machining and efficient production. Additionally, having experience in die & mold manufacturing and knowledge of SolidWorks will be advantageous. Your key responsibilities will include developing and optimizing CNC programs using SolidCAM, working closely with machine operators to enhance machining efficiency, troubleshooting and editing CNC programs as required, reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D CAD models, planning preventive maintenance strategies, assisting in tool selection and fixture design, coordinating with the toolroom team to address machining challenges, utilizing SolidWorks for basic CAD modifications, and contributing to die & mold machining projects to uphold high-quality standards. To excel in this role, you should possess strong proficiency in SolidCAM for CNC programming, a good understanding of SolidWorks for CAD tasks, in-depth knowledge of CNC milling operations and machining techniques, experience in die & mold manufacturing, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models, hands-on experience with CNC programming and troubleshooting, knowledge of preventive maintenance for CNC and toolroom machines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with operators and engineers. The preferred qualifications for this position include a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or Manufacturing, a minimum of 3 years of experience in CAM programming and CNC operations, and hands-on experience in machining dies, molds, and precision components.,
