Interpret 2D/3D models and engineering drawings to define machining strategies.
Optimize tool paths, feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions for efficiency and surface finish.
Select suitable tools, fixtures, and machining processes for production and prototyping.
Coordinate with CNC operators and machine setters during trials and production runs.
Troubleshoot programming or machining issues and update CAM files accordingly.
Maintain and document program files, setups, and machining parameters.
Work closely with design, production, and quality teams for process improvements.
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Technology.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
Knowledge of material behavior (steel, aluminum, composites) during machining.
Familiarity with shopfloor processes and troubleshooting techniques.
