Solarwinds Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SolarWinds L3 Administrator to join our dynamic IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SolarWinds products and possess strong problem-solving skills to handle complex network and system monitoring tasks. The L3 Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our SolarWinds environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability

Key Responsibilities

• SolarWinds Administration

  : Manage and maintain SolarWinds environments, including configuration, customization, and integration of SolarWinds modules such as NPM, SAM, NCM, and others.

• Monitoring and Alerting

  : Develop and fine-tune monitoring policies, alerts, and dashboards to ensure the efficient monitoring of network performance, server health, and application performance.

• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution

  : Act as the escalation point for L1 and L2 teams, troubleshooting complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions.

• Performance Tuning

  : Optimize SolarWinds performance and scalability, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resource utilization.

• Upgrades and Patches

  : Plan, coordinate, and execute SolarWinds upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal impact on operations.

• Documentation and Reporting

  : Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Generate and analyze regular reports on system performance and health.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT staff to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of IT infrastructure.

• Training and Mentoring

  : Provide training and support to L1 and L2 support teams, enhancing their skills and knowledge in SolarWinds administration.

Skills and Competencies

• Technical Proficiency

  : In-depth knowledge of SolarWinds products and modules, network and system monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Problem Solving

  : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

• Scripting and Automation

  : Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of monitoring tasks.

• Communication

  : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Project Management

  : Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload effectively.
