Software Tester

As a Software Tester, your role involves reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. You will create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Your responsibilities include estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities. Additionally, you will design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools. Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs is crucial in this role. You will also be performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Qualifications required for this role include: - 1-2 years of experience - Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes - Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases - Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing - Hands-on experience with automated testing tools - Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process - Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus As a Software Tester, you will need to stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to ensure the quality of the products. It is essential to liaise with internal teams such as developers and product managers to identify system requirements. You will also be monitoring debugging process results and investigating the causes of non-conforming software, training users to implement solutions. Tracking quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts will be part of your responsibilities.
