Job Summary:

Software Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse system specifications and requirements.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts (manual & automated).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through bug-tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, etc.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Validate software fixes and enhancements.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure software compliance with business requirements.
• Prepare test reports, documentation, and quality metrics.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.).
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Appium).
• Good understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
