Software Tester

1- Planning & Execution:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for cloud-based Industrial IoT applications
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards for traceability and data integrity.

2-Automation & CI/CD Integration:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cypress.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline).
  

3-IIoT & Data Validation:

• Validate real-time data acquisition from sensors, machines, and industrial controllers (PLC, SCADA, etc.)
• Test data integrity, processing, and visualization in dashboards and reports.
• Simulate edge-device behavior and validate end-to-end connectivity between devices and cloud platforms.

4-Security & Compliance Testing:

• Conduct API security, authentication, and access control testing.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, or NIST standards for industrial cybersecurity.
• Perform penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in cloud and edge devices.

5-Defect Tracking & Reporting:

• Log and track defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues and ensure smooth releases.
• Provide detailed test reports and recommendations for product improvements.

6-Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work with developers, product managers, and business analysts to define quality benchmarks.
• Create and maintain test documentation, user guides, and best practices.
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with customers and internal stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

• 3~5 years of software testing experience, preferably in Industrial IoT, Manufacturing, or Cloud based platforms
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, Postman for API testing).
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for validating industrial data.
• Knowledge of MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, REST APIs, and WebSocket protocols for IoT communications
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles for IoT and cloud-based applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in manufacturing execution systems (MES), warehouse management, or industrial automations
• ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized environments.
• Familiarity with machine learning or AI-driven predictive maintenance testing (bonus).
