Role- Software Testing-QA

Skills (Must have) Manual & Automation testing, API, SQL, Linux & Jenkins

Experience- 2-3 years

Notice period: Immediate to 30 Days.

Job Purpose:

As part of the TP-India application engineering group, the QA engineer will attend to their day-to-day activities that involve developing and maintaining diverse Test Plans, Test Case documentation, and conducting functional and regression testing. This person will build strong relationships with clients, the development team, business analysts, IT management, and peers in order to clearly understand business and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for various dimensions of testing including but not limited to functional, non-functional, regression, performance to ensure the quality experience of the customer platform.
• Needs to test Web/API based products
• Needs to work on Continuous Integration and Deployment tools like Jenkins or any other tools
• With minimum supervision; carries out routine duties independently; uses appreciable originality on system assignments; discusses or seeks approval on complex matters.
• Maintains a positive and professional work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, coworkers, and managers to ensure good client service and interpersonal rapport.
• Abides by all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Needs to learn and work on automation tools and libraries like Java, Selenium, Ruby, Cucumber, or any other tools

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelors degree or its equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related technical field.
• 2-3 years of overall experience in application testing
• MUST have good analytical ability to breakdown problem statements into solutions
• MUST have worked on an Agile based development project and familiar with associated tools like JIRA, confluence.
• Working knowledge of testing tools, source control systems (SVN, Git)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal/written instructions
• Ability to troubleshoot assigned issues and also the ability to meet tight project deadlines
• Ability to work extended hours, off-hours and/or weekends, as required, in support of the companys business needs.
• Testing Certificate would be an advantage
• Working knowledge MySQL, Mongo DB would be an advantage
• Working knowledge Linux/UNIX would be an advantage
• Working knowledge Telecom would be an advantage

Preferred Skills

• Working experience on different kinds of testing viz., Functional, System, Acceptance, Regression and non-functional testing.
• Working experience of creating test plans and test-case documents.
• Hands-on knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools and technologies.
• Working experience on Agile based software development model (Scrum, Kanban etc)
