Aws Devops Engineer

Job Purpose:

Sr. Systems Engineer

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

1. Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS.
2. Work with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Cloud Watch, RDS, Route53, Lambda, and Cloud Formation/Terraform.
3. Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools.

CI/CD & Automation

1. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
2. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure frequent and reliable releases.
3. Create scripting/automation solutions using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Monitoring, Logging & Reliability

1. Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.).
2. Troubleshoot production issues, improve system performance, and ensure high system uptime.
3. Participate in on-call rotation when required.

Security & Compliance

1. Apply AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, security groups, encryption, and key management.
2. Ensure adherence to compliance standards and organizational security policies.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

1. Work closely with development and QA teams to support application builds and deployments.
2. Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to increase automation and reduce manual effort.
3. Support DevOps best practices and help drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. Masters or Bachelors degree or its equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related technical field.
2. AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)
3. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

1. Strong knowledge in Linux OS
2. Good knowledge in Dockers, Jenkins.
3. Good Knowledge on Apache web servers, Tomcats
4. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
5. Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure design.
6. Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
7. Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
8. Strong knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.
9. Experience with Docker; exposure to Kubernetes/EKS is a strong plus.
10. Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
11. Good understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, DNS, load balancing, routing).
12. Experience with monitoring/logging tools.

Good to have skills

1. Experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, or container orchestration.
2. Knowledge of microservices architecture.
3. Exposure to Telecom domain
