About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive Software Test Engineer with 1-4 years of experience to join our Quality Engineering team. Whether you are a fresher with strong fundamentals or a tester with a few years of hands-on experience, this role offers an opportunity to work across Manual, Automation, and Performance Testing. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products while continuously learning and growing in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and automation scripts based on project requirements.
• Perform manual, functional, regression, and basic non-functional testing to identify and document defects.
• Support performance and load testing activities using JMeter; experienced candidates may independently analyze results.
• Conduct API testing using Postman; ability to write test scripts is preferred.
• Contribute to building or maintaining automation frameworks (level of ownership will depend on experience).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure quality outcomes.
• Track, prioritize, and manage defects; prepare clear testing reports and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Understanding of STLC, SDLC, test case design techniques, and the defect lifecycle.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with TestNG/JUnit (experience level may vary based on candidate).
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Java or Python.
• Exposure to or experience with performance testing using Apache JMeter.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman; scripting knowledge is a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Understanding of version control tools like Git.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with Mobile Automation (Appium).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or database testing.
• Exposure to REST API automation frameworks (RestAssured, PyTest, etc.).
