Job Description

Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Payments Domain Experience: 5+ Years Location: Hybrid (3 days WFO) India Shift Timings: 10:30 AM 7:30 PM IST Interview Rounds: 2 (Virtual) About the Role: Join a brand-new India-based team as the only QA among 6 members (5 developers + 1 QA). Youll take full ownership of the testing process and ensure high-quality backend systems in a cloud environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead QA efforts for the team end-to-end Perform manual, integration, and automation testing Write and maintain automation scripts Ensure code quality and unit test coverage Collaborate with developers to uphold testing standards Validate deployment readiness (blue-green setup) Tech Stack: Languages/Frameworks: Java (Java 8+; Java 17 preferred; moving to Java 21), Spring Boot Testing Tools: JMeter, Blazemeter CI/CD: Jenkins Cloud: Azure (preferred), AWS/GCP acceptable Bonus: Front-end testing, Docker/Kubernetes (future use) Testing Split: 80% Automation 20% Manual (as needed) Ideal Candidate: Confident in independently leading QA Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable working with teams across time zones (till ~11 AM PST) Eager to work in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment Interested in cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
