Software QA Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in manual, performance, and security testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable software products. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about software quality and ready to take charge of test planning and execution covering both functional and non-functional requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing. - Perform performance testing utilizing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar applications. - Conduct basic security testing such as input validation, authentication/authorization checks, and session handling. - Validate REST APIs and backend logic using tools like Postman or Swagger. - Clearly document defects and follow up with the development team until resolution. - Analyze test results, identify patterns, and recommend enhancements for stability and performance. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field. - 2-3 years of Quality Assurance experience, encompassing manual testing exposure. - Proficiency in performance testing tools like Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter, or LoadRunner. - Familiarity with security testing concepts, OWASP Top 10, and tools such as Burp Suite (basic level). - Competence in bug tracking tools like Jira. - Understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools. - Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing. - Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred (Nice to Have): - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins. - Knowledge of code versioning tools like Git. - Possession of ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
