Software License Management - CMDB L2 - SSE

Role Overview: As a Systems Engineer at CGI, you will be responsible for managing Software License Management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Level 2. Your role will involve ensuring software license compliance, maintaining accurate records in the CMDB, providing operational support, and engaging with stakeholders to align on software usage and license compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Software License Management - Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, terms, and conditions. - Track, monitor, and manage software licenses across the organization. - Support audits by providing accurate software usage data. - Identify cost-saving opportunities through license optimization. - Collaborate with procurement teams for software renewals and acquisitions. - Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administration - Maintain accurate records of software assets in the CMDB. - Update CMDB data regularly to reflect the current state of assets. - Support integrations between CMDB and other IT tools. - Enforce CMDB data governance policies and configuration management standards. - Operational Support - Provide Level 2 support for software license and CMDB-related incidents. - Investigate and resolve issues related to license compliance and CMDB inaccuracies. - Develop and maintain documentation for SLM and CMDB processes. - Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement - Work with IT, procurement, and vendor management teams to ensure software usage alignment. - Coordinate with IT operations and change management teams for CMDB updates. - Provide training and guidance on software license and CMDB processes. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. - In-depth knowledge of software license management processes and CMDB platforms. - Familiarity with software licensing models and proficiency in data analysis tools. - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
