True North Marine Inc., a division of the Accelleron Industries, is a consultancy dedicated to assisting vessel operators to ensure that their voyages are undertaken in the safest and cost-effective manner. We offer navigational assistance to diverse client base globally in the Maritime Industry. We are the only company that offers Weather routing/Performance Monitoring for Ocean vessels in Canada.

About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Application Developer to join our new development team. We implement advanced weather routing and ship performance analysis software. An ideal candidate would be a professional/programmer who can work on software implementation in an Agile environment under the supervision of the Software Development Manager. We are looking for someone who wants to adopt the business field, be a team player and contribute to the development of this ambitious project.

• Assist users on our in-house software.
• Make corrections to the existing code according to the problems found by the users
• Implement quality assurance activities (ex: unit tests, integration tests, etc.)
• Participate in our Daily Scrum meeting
• Perform other related duties

Skills / Competencies and Qualification:

• About 2-5 years of experience in application development (web oriented is an asset)
• Have worked on applications in the cloud
• Autonomous, attentive to details and be an active collaborator
• Have excellent communication skills in French and/or in English
• Strong knowledge of C # and ASP.Net
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience in developing unit tests is an asset
