Job Description

Role Overview: As a software engineer at Google, you will contribute to developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. You will work on critical projects essential to Google's needs, with the opportunity to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. Versatility, leadership qualities, and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges are key qualities we are looking for in our engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define the team's technical idea, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall Google Photos goals. - Deliver high-quality software solutions and contribute to the continued success of Google Photos. - Establish and promote software engineering best practices, balancing code health with project velocity and maintainability. - Lead, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers. - Create a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, open communication, and mutual respect. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms. - 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. - 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, or natural language processing. - Masters degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a technical related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. - 3 years of experience working in a changing organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.,
