Software Engineer - SAP ABAP

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs, including object-oriented ABAP.
• Understand and implement SAP modules such as Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Human Resources (HR), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Materials Management (MM).
• Identify and resolve errors in ABAP code efficiently.
• Utilize the ABAP Dictionary for data definitions and create data models and views using CDS.
• Extend SAP applications with custom code and integrations, familiar with ABAP RAP and ABAP Development tools.
• Document technical processes and communicate complex issues clearly to stakeholders.
• Ensure quality delivery with a strong focus on detail and time management.
• Investigate, analyze, and provide design improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate on full lifecycle projects as a lead SAP ABAP developer.
• Manage risks and understand finance business processes.
• Stay updated on current and emerging SAP technology trends, particularly around SAP ECC 6 and HANA.
• Facilitate integration between SAP and third-party systems, both cloud and on-premise.

Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object-Oriented ABAP.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 and exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working with FI, CO, HR, SD, and MM modules.
• Proficiency in ABAP Dictionary, CDS Views, and ABAP RAP framework.
• Familiarity with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) and Eclipse environment.
• Ability to design and optimize custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW).
• Good understanding of integration techniques (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and APIs).
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in SAP-HANA-based data modeling and optimization is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and time management.
