Software Engineer - Mobile (Android)

As a Software Engineer at Entrata based in Lehi, UT, Headquarters, you will have the opportunity to work alongside senior architects and directors in designing database schema and laying out the basic code architecture for projects that you will own and see through to completion. Your responsibilities will include designing and building advanced applications for Android, translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code, and ensuring the best possible performance and responsiveness of the application. You will work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products, while maintaining code quality, organization, and automatization throughout the app life cycle. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-4 years of experience in mobile application development on the Android platform, a strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. Proficiency in Kotlin, familiarity with MVVM architecture, Jetpack components, and experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning are essential. Additionally, you should be proficient in integrating REST APIs using tools like Retrofit and Volley, and have experience with version control systems like GIT and SVN. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, along with experience in agile methodologies like Scrum. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a plus.
