Software Engineer (Mid MERN react)

As a member of a rapidly growing, private equity-backed SaaS product company in the USA, you will be contributing to powering some of the world's most important missions. Your responsibilities will include joining video conferencing calls with the product team for requirements gathering and feature enhancement discussions. You will be involved in building, maintaining, and enhancing our SaaS product. In addition, you will participate in sprint planning, ensuring effective decomposition of epics and user stories into estimated tasks and subtasks with clearly defined owners. Your active participation in agile stand-ups and retrospectives will be crucial as you proactively help and support colleagues in removing impediments and continuously improving team productivity and satisfaction. Conducting code reviews and fostering a quality-centric team approach to development will also be part of your role. To excel in this position, you must have a strong desire to work on a modern full stack React/Node/Mongo application and possess over 5 years of hands-on experience, including mentoring and team operations. A solid understanding of JavaScript at a strong to expert level is essential. You should be capable of handling the entire software development life cycle independently and have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English. Attention to detail and a meticulous work ethic are qualities that you must possess. An innate sense of business priorities and commercial value in relation to development effort is also crucial. Self-management of projects, leadership abilities, and a willingness to guide others are expected from you. A comprehensive knowledge of both SQL and No-SQL databases is necessary, as well as a deep commitment to software quality and testing. In addition to the must-have requirements, it would be advantageous if you have strong and up-to-date HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. Experience with progressive web app development, including install prompts, custom service workers, caching of static resources and requests, and offline capabilities, would also be beneficial. To be eligible for this role, you should hold a B.Tech/MCA degree with experience in modern full stack React/Node/Mongo applications and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, including mentoring and team operations.
