Software Engineer III

Position Summary... We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Android to join our team of talented engineers. As a Software Engineer - android, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining our android applications in Walmart Marketplace. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, and collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration with our backend systems.

Market Place is one of the fastest growing business at Walmart. As part of this team you will be working on 3rd party seller integrations with Walmart eco system, managing seller data and building recommendation engines for improving seller experience, business with Walmart.

What youll do
As a Software Engineer III Android Developer you would be responsible for:

• Design and develop high-quality, user-friendly Android applications
• Working with peers in building and maintaining the Walmart android app or the sub modules.
• Collaborate with peers and work with Architects to design and develop and co-own the feature delivery.
• Create high-quality, reusable UI components and design systems
• Instrument and trace bugs and performance gaps for the app. Identify and build tools and libraries to help in the process.
• Build POCs to develop and showcase platform specific capabilities to merge with Walmart use cases.
• Providing, unique to Walmart, Omni Experience to the customers. Providing the capability for the customers to start a process on the app digitally and resuming it after at the store physically.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve the user experience

What youll bring

• 3+ years as an Android Developer with deep understanding of Android UX and UI design paradigms, and ability to implement and design Android apps.
• Experience in Swift is a must.
• Good understanding of Basic Data Structures and ability to come up with complete algorithm and code for problems. Ability to derive time complexities of algorithms.
• An Object Oriented philosopher with experience understanding and applying OO design patterns.
• Experience integrating iOS apps with RESTful APIs.
• Desire to work in a fast paced, agile, collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
