Software Engineer III - Python Automation

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the AIML & Data Platform team, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, responsible for designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think innovatively to build solutions or solve technical problems. You will create secure and high-quality production code, maintain algorithms, and produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications. Additionally, you will gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large data sets to enhance software applications and systems. You are expected to proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, contributing to coding hygiene and system architecture improvements. Furthermore, you will be part of software engineering communities of practice, exploring new technologies and fostering a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. Key Responsibilities: - Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting - Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms - Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications - Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large data sets - Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data - Contribute to software engineering communities of practice - Foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Proficient in python coding skills - Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment - Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle - Proficient with automation frameworks similar to pytest - Expertise in building robust automation solutions for APIs and UI validations - Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security - Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (Note: Familiarity with modern front-end technologies, exposure to cloud technologies, and experience with performance testing and data validation concepts are preferred for this role.),
