Software Engineer III, Machine Learning, Home AI Safety

As a software engineer at Google, you will be developing next-generation technologies that revolutionize how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and each other. Your role will involve handling information at a massive scale, going beyond web search, and working on various aspects such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Write product or system development code. - Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices. - Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. - Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. - Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. - 2 years of experience with iOS application development. - Experience with Generative AI, Generative AI Agent, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Model. - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred). - 2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging (preferred). - 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting (preferred). - Experience in developing accessible technologies. - Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering. - Experience with Python, Java, or Machine Learning.
