As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Develop responsive and interactive web applications using modern front-end technologies. Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Work with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to integrate front-end components with back-end services. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience, experience with one or more front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Next.js, proficiency in coding in one or more languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS, overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD and version control systems, particularly Git, demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.), experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, knowledge of database management systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams, familiarity with UI/UX design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, working knowledge of Python or Java for backend development.
