As a Software Engineer II - VBA Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Team, youll execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. Youll be a part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain applications to streamline and automate business processes, enhance productivity and improve data management using MS Office applications Collaborate with Business Analysts and key stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Proficiency in writing, debugging and optimizing VBA code Expertise in creating macros, custom menus/functions, pivot tables and advance data analysis tools Connecting with databases for data import/export, queries and reporting Experience with API s and data integration techniques Knowledge of VSTO and advanced Excel features such as Power Query, Power Pivot and advanced charting techniques Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience with other programming languages (Python, JavaScript) Knowledge of financial modeling and reporting systems Familiarity with UI/UX design systems (Figma), Project Management tools (JIRA) and Agile methodology
