Software Engineer II

Role & responsibilities

1. Be an active individual contributor on a team:creating working, readable code that fits given business requirements, and participating in code reviews
2. Understand project scopes, architectural diagrams and requirements to further breakdown more granular requirements and implementing them as part of a project team
3. Work in an Agile team (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and be a vocal participant in team meetings
4. Promote the organization's present technology within a team

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related field
2. 4 years experience with Microsoft & open source Technologies
3. Proficient developing web-based interfaces, including:
4. ASP.Net MVC, Angular/React.js and HTML5
5. JavaScript, jQuery, Typescript
6. Modern, multi-device and form factor Single Page Applications
7. Experience working with Microsoft Azure is preferred, including:
8. Compute & Containers - App Service (Web Apps and API Apps) and Containers
9. Database & Storage - Azure SQL, Storage Accounts and Table Storage
10. Integration - Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management and Logic Apps
11. Security - AAD & Key Vault
12. Azure Management, including deployments, configuration and the SDK
13. Understanding and experience implementing software design patterns, including:
14. Basic OO concepts such as encapsulation and abstraction
15. SOLID principals such as single responsibility, dependency injection and interface driven design.
16. Experience working with database development in SQL Server, Entity Framework and LINQ
17. Proficient with Web APIs. Experience with Microservices preferred.
18. Proficient with Entity Framework and LINQ
19. Experience working with .Net Core preferred.
