Software Engineer II - Java Cloud

As an application developer in the investment technology team, your role will involve designing and delivering strategic solutions to support investment businesses. You should have a server-side development background and a proven track record in designing and delivering distributed, event-driven services. Your expertise in architecture principles and software development best practices will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will need to have experience working in an Agile project environment and collaborating with the Product Owner and SCRUM Team throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deliver strategic solutions to support investment businesses - Work in an Agile project environment, collaborating with the Product Owner and SCRUM Team - Ensure code quality, code security, and application quality KPIs are met - Facilitate development and architecture discussions - Focus on engineering excellence and compliance with corporate, regulatory, IT risk, and architecture policies Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of Java development experience including Spring, Spring Boot - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Knowledge of web service technologies such as REST and JSON - Experience in multi-threaded application development - Proficiency in tools like Sonar, SSAP, JIRA, GIT, Maven - Strong written and oral communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with other developers and analysts on multiple work items - Knowledge in Microservices architecture and PL/SQL - Experience in Unit Testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito In addition to the above, the preferred qualifications for this role include experience in React, development of High Availability system architectures, Cloud/AWS, and/or similar distributed processing. You should also have the ability to implement change and development process improvements, including required culture changes.,
