Description
The role involves designing, implementing, testing, and documenting complex software applications. You will be required to communicate effectively with team members spread across different locations and ensure quality through design/code reviews, TDD, and BDD practices. Escalating urgent issues to Engineering Management will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will provide peer advisement to other Software and Associate Software Engineers through code/design reviews and peer-programming efforts. Interacting with Business Analysts to ensure that specifications are met, and communicating design, reliability, and maintenance problems to the appropriate internal resources will also be expected from you. In a Support Role, you will be responsible for debugging, troubleshooting, and developing technical solutions in the form of software patches related to software and setup errors. Creating workaround solutions when product procedures fail and ensuring timely issue resolution will also fall under your purview. Urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge should be escalated to the appropriate internal resources. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, or relevant experience - Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts - Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries management using NPM - Professional experience with ReactJS (functional components) and TypeScript - Strong understanding of core web concepts and experience consuming REST-based web services - Familiarity with Redux and/or Context API, browser dev tools for debugging, and troubleshooting - Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility concerns and experience with IDEs like WebStorm or VS Code Qualifications: - Education: A degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering About Us: Verint believes that customer engagement is fundamental to every global brand.
