Software Engineer-Front End

As a Software Engineer at Verint, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting complex software applications. Your role will involve effective communication with geographically distributed team members and ensuring quality through design/code reviews, TDD, and BDD practices. You will escalate urgent issues to Engineering Management and provide peer advisement to other Software and Associate Software Engineers through code/design reviews and peer-programming efforts. Collaborating with Business Analysts, you will ensure that specifications are met and communicate design, reliability, and maintenance problems to internal resources. In addition to the core responsibilities, you may also function in a Support Role where you will be debugging, troubleshooting, and developing technical solutions such as software patches for software and setup errors. You will create workaround solutions for product procedures failures and escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources. To qualify for this role, you should have a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development is required. You should possess strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts, along with experience in JavaScript frameworks, libraries management using NPM, ReactJS (functional components), TypeScript, and Redux and/or Context API. A solid understanding of core web concepts, experience consuming REST-based web services, and familiarity with browser dev tools for debugging and troubleshooting are essential. Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility concerns and an IDE such as WebStorm or VS Code is also expected. In terms of qualifications, a degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred.
