Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, integration, system testing and end-to-end flow.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or AI testing Tools
• Build and enhance robust test automation frameworks to support scalable and reusable testing.
• Participate in requirement analysis and collaborate with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with development teams for timely resolution and re-testing.
• Perform impact analysis and regression testing for every release to ensure stability and performance of existing features.
• Analyze test results, prepare quality metrics, and share detailed reports with stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in software testing and automation.
• Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.
• Provide support and guidance to junior QA members when required.
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility and responsiveness of the retail platform.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 4 years of proven experience in software testing with strong skills in both manual and automation testing to E-commerce or Retail platforms.
• Experience in Selenium Web-Driver, with working knowledge of Java or another scripting language.
• Experience in test automation frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Good understanding of API testing tools like Postman, REST-assured.
• Hands-on experience with writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and participation in sprint ceremonies.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA.
• Experience with mobile or cross-browser testing is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Understanding of e-commerce workflows: product listing, inventory sync, multi-channel listings, cart & order processing, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams.
