Software Engineer-Backend

Role Overview: Rocketlane is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their fast-growing and innovative SaaS company focused on customer onboarding and professional services automation. As part of a close-knit team of over 100 passionate professionals, you will play a key role in driving the design, development, and enhancement of core features and functionalities of their observability platform. Your responsibilities will include acting as a subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring a team of talented software engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, staying ahead of industry trends, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation, and working on various technical challenges related to backend development. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the design, development, and enhancement of core features and functionalities of the observability platform - Act as a subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring a team of software engineers - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient systems - Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, researching and experimenting with innovative solutions - Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Identify and address performance bottlenecks, apply optimizations, and maintain platform stability - Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the engineering team Qualifications Required: - 1 - 3 years of experience - Expertise in Java and HTTP Protocol - Familiarity with tech stacks/products such as Spring, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Message brokers, and GitHub - Familiarity with non-functional areas like Performance, Debugging, and Log management - Familiarity with AWS is a plus About Rocketlane: Rocketlane is a fast-growing, innovative SaaS company that aims to empower B2B companies with a smooth, consistent, and efficient way to onboard customers and manage client projects.
