Your opportunity: At New Relic, you provide customers real-time insights to innovate faster. The software delivers observability tools across different technologies, enabling teams to identify, tackle issues, analyze performance, and optimize software and infrastructure. Role Overview: As a senior backend engineer, you will help build and extend next-generation solutions like a control plane for customers to manage data pipelines at scale. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, maintain, and scale back-end services and support tools - Participate in architectural definitions with innovation - Create automation and tooling for scalability and ease of deployment - Work within a multidisciplinary team to assist customers and partners - Research new tools and propose new features - Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in software development, engineering, or a related field - 2+ years of experience in Java and/or Go - Strong computer science background and ability to learn new languages quickly - Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software systems - Ability to mentor a team towards technical excellence - Understanding of scalable distributed systems and microservices architecture - Passion for exploring new technologies and finding creative solutions - Collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams - Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP, serverless, Docker, Kubernetes - Bonus points for contribution to open source projects and experience with asynchronous programming techniques New Relic fosters a diverse and inclusive environment, celebrating backgrounds and abilities.
